The Norfolk Enterprise Festival Mission

A message from the Founders, Mark and George:

Do you know how many fast growing small businesses there are in Norfolk?

500? 800? 2000?

There are over 8000. 8000 small teams working hard, doing fascinating things and growing every day.

Our county is a powerhouse of entrepreneurial activity. But something’s not quite right. A lot of businesses, while doing well, are tucked away in converted farm buildings, airfields or warehouses, absorbed in doing what they do best, but with poor connectivity, a lack of awareness of the organisations and platforms that could support them, and without knowledge of the modern marketing techniques necessary to be visible in an increasingly digital world.

We think this community lacks a forum to come together, and create a network of support that encourages growth across the county.

We believe that with a few small interventions we could unlock the real potential of this community and drive significant local prosperity.

What’s holding Norfolk back?

Network connectivity, skills, effective marketing, planning and a lack of startup finance all play a key role.

That, and there’s almost no connection between the existing wealth in Norfolk and the wealth creators.

Imagine if the people buying holiday homes on the coast were also investing in our local high growth companies

So we and a group of local entrepreneurs have organised the Norfolk Enterprise Festival: a one day gathering of Norfolk’s entrepreneurs for a day to convene, champion, promote, support and speak for this community.
